Old Inlet was a special place for a lot us in the area.  We had a great boardwalk, a beautiful marina full of friends, and the Pattersquash Gun Club overlooking everything from Pelican Island.  Hurricane Sandy not only carved a breach through Fire Island, it destroyed our beach and marina and left the gun club in a precarious situation.  However, the breach has also created a new vibrant marine environment that has turned back the clocks to the clear and clean waters we remember as kids.  The Old Inlet Breach is an amazing natural sight and anyone who has ventured there since Sandy will agree.  I was able to photograph Old Inlet before, during, and after Sandy and a lot of these shots can never be replicated as the Inlet is in a constant state of flux.  The link below will take you to a collection of my Old Inlet images which can be enjoyed and or purchased.  I hope you enjoy!
